Things to do with kids in Liverpool
Liverpool concentrates a lot of family options into a compact, walkable centre, and a good number of them cost nothing. The Museum of Liverpool runs free play sessions, and Liverpool ONE has hosted a Shaun the Sheep trail with augmented reality scenes and games woven through the shopping district. The Liverpool Wheel gives younger children big views without a long climb, and the Liverpool City Splash Tour is a land-and-water adventure that solves the problem of a child who will not sit still on a coach. The city also does depth well. The Beatles Story has a Discovery Zone and the Fab 4 Cafe. The Liverpool Empire is a historic theatre staging touring family musicals. Awesome Walls, set in a beautiful church, runs Clip & Climb, bouldering, NICAS climbing and home education sessions with a cafe attached. Out towards the edge of the city, Croxteth Park Farm is a traditional working Victorian farm and one of the biggest rare breed farms in the country, with small animal handling, pony grooming and feeding sessions.
