Rainy day activities in Lambeth

Keep a rainy day in Lambeth feeling like an adventure with indoor places for families.

Lambeth answers a downpour with a short but stubbornly varied set of doors. Substation covers bouldering and neon climbing, which suits anybody who would rather burn energy than sit still. SEA LIFE London Aquarium is the crowd-pleaser, sharks included, and holds attention long enough for a shower to blow through. BrewDog Waterloo takes a different tack again: drinks, bowling and an epic slide, with seats for the grown-ups. Southbank Centre earned its spot through an Easter round-up. Leake Street Graffiti Tunnels is the odd one out, somewhere you arrive with pens and add to the walls yourself, dry overhead when everything above ground is not. The Paddington Bear Experience completes the set. None of it wants a whole day, so two or three can be stitched together between showers without anybody getting drenched. The trick is picking an order and sticking to it, instead of standing on a corner arguing about umbrellas.
